Here is the recipe for Taylor’s Chocolate Chip cookies. Will and I have not stopped talking and thinking about them. They were so good and just the right consistency. I am definitely going to make some this weekend and I have a feeling I won’t have any left to share so you are going to have to make your own!
Taylor’s Chocolate Chip Cookies
- 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter, softened
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 3/4 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour, plus 2 Tbsp
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 12 oz semi-chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350°. Blend butter and sugars well. Add eggs and vanilla, mix well. In a separate bowl mix flour, salt, and baking soda. Slowly add flour mixture to butter mixture. Add chocolate chips (I think it does better stirring the chocolate chips in by hand). Drop by the tablespoon on cookie sheet and bake for exactly 10 minutes.
Taylor lets the butter mixture blend with the eggs and vanilla and then turns the mixer off while she mixes the flour, salt, & baking soda. If the cookies are over mixed then they don’t stay plump while baking.
